Did you know that 1 in 6 children aged 3-17 years in the United States has a developmental disability? Just like fingerprints, every child’s behavioral patterns are unique. Some children might find it harder to make friends, while others struggle to sit still during storytime. These differences can sometimes point to autism or ADHD. Think of this assessment as a magnifying glass that helps you look closely at your child’s everyday behaviors. It’s like a helpful friend asking you questions about how your child plays, learns, and interacts with others.

Before You Start

This quick assessment takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. Find a quiet moment when you can focus on answering questions about your child’s typical behaviors. Remember, there are no “right” or “wrong” answers.

Understanding Your Results

Your results will show two percentage scores:

  • Autism Traits Percentage
  • ADHD Traits Percentage

Think of these scores like a weather forecast. A higher percentage doesn’t mean your child definitely has autism or ADHD, just like a 70% chance of rain doesn’t guarantee rain.

What Your Scores Mean

70% or higher: Your child shows several behaviors common in children with autism and/or ADHD.

50-69%: Your child shows some behaviors that overlap with autism and/or ADHD patterns.

Below 50%: Your child shows fewer behaviors typically associated with autism or ADHD.

Next Steps

If your child’s scores are high or if you’re concerned about certain behaviors:

  • Write down specific examples of challenging situations
  • Talk with your child’s pediatrician
  • Consider an evaluation from a child development specialist
  • Connect with parent support groups
