Autism Warning Signs For Successful Diagnosis

Autism has been becoming increasingly diagnosed in today’s society. ? As a matter of fact, about one out of every 500 children that is born worldwide will be diagnosed with autism. ? There are also many others who may be diagnosed with another problem that also are dealing with autism. ? The disorder itself is actually a brain disorder that causes many different problems in the child that range from communication through to problems with social skills. ? Identifying the autism warning signs early in the child’s life can help you to be able to cope with the problem from a very young age.

Autism warning signs can span several different general areas that include social skills, language and behavior problems. ? Your child may develop any one of the autism warning signs that exist in these different categories and it may also, more than likely, display many of them.

As far as social skills are concerned, some of the main things that are noticed are the fact that they don’t respond to their name, they don’t respond to you as if they are not hearing you, they are not interested in being close to you and that they are unresponsive to other people’s feelings. ? A child with autism may also prefer to play alone as if they are retreating into their own world.

Some of the language problems that may develop in an autistic child include a late development of speech, talking for a while and then losing that ability, speaking in an unusual voice, such as if they were a robot. ? They may also be unable to start a conversation or to maintain one once it is started.

Some of the behavior problems that can display themselves as autism warning signs include repetitive movements such as hand flapping or compulsive rocking, the development of a specific routine that they must follow on a regular basis, becoming irritated if there is a change in their routine and the need to move on a constant basis.

Again, these are only some of the autism warning signs but they can be enough to help to tip you off to the fact that your child is having a problem. ? Early detection of these problems is the main way that you are able to deal with the disease successfully. ? If you recognize any of these problems in your child, seek medical attention in order to determine if your child has autism or not.
